If you are opposites that attract or you simply have different interests or hobbies, try something new. Rotate date nights allowing your partner to pick the entire date. The rule is you have to do whatever your partner plans or wants to do happily. So, if you like the cozy fire with a glass of wine and a movie, do it. But, remember when you are drinking a beer at the sports bar watching a game, you must be enthusiastic.Part of the fun in a date night is showing how much you appreciate your partner and enjoy hanging out with them regardless of the situation. If your interests are completely opposite and it pains you to do such opposite dates, try and combine your dates. Maybe a cozy fire and nice dinner with wine and beer while watching the game from home later.

My husband loves to fish and I have really made an effort to go along with him on a couple of day trips to see what the fuss is all about. These usually end up being some of our most favorite dates.
