Tip - Know The 3 Ps

What are the 3 P's when it comes to your "perfect wedding"?
PLANNING
PRODUCTION
PRESENTATION

PLANNING starts many, many days before even the actual proposal...(we won't tell the grooms that) but every little girl dreams of the big day...What the dress will look like, who is her best friend intended to be the maid of honor and so on and so on.

PRODUCTION starts right after the ring has been placed and the tears dried! What color, what season, where at....?

NOW for the Grand PRESENTATION! it all comes down to presentation
that day for most couples that strive to achieve the most perfect wedding day....
So why let your details be left to friends and guests when you can without doubt obtain perfect detail by working with a professional? If your wedding includes these offers of help and friendship the day of.... Here are some of the table tips the pros use when setting up your presentation for your most perfect day.

Darcie's Table Tips:
Use the same number of place settings at the tables. It makes a balanced symmetrical table setting.
Always make sure your silverware is set properly. Salad fork on left, spoon on right.
Have all the napkins pre-folded the night prior so they are fresh and crisp.
Every table arrangement should be the same by placing your salt and pepper in the same location on each table.
The table name/card should be in the same location at every table and not over power the size of your floral bouquet.
Chances are that a 5x7 card can be too large for your table. Your table card names should all face the entrance your guest will be entering from.
Name tags should all be placed in the same location, and your guest favors if attached with a message will need to face and read left to right for the guest.
I know it sounds obvious to realize all of the details when PLANNING, however PRODUCTION can be quick! These tips should insure perfect table PRESENTATION for your first dinner party as a newly married couple!.... be glad you didn't have to plan to do dishes!

Tip - Coordinate Your Exit

When planning all the details for the pre-wedding, the ceremony, everything up to the last dance, don’t forget to plan for the clean-up of your most special day. There is always a friend or family member that wants to be part of the team so ask them to help gather up your left over favors, the cake table accessories and table center pieces that might need to go to another location the next morning like a family brunch. Too many times we see the bride trying to gather the last of her personal items at the end of the reception. Planning an exit with your DJ/MC is the best way to make sure your guests know “you are leaving the building". Tip provided by Slip of Elegance Chaircovers

Trend - Reception Lounges

Reception Lounges are all the rage when designing the guest’s first impression of what’s to come at the dinner reception. So how can you have a reception for your reception? By using oversized leather ottomans, faux fur upholstered foot stools, high bar stools all are new ways of meeting and “seating” your guests for the cocktail portion of your evening! IN doors or OUT doors, Weather of course is a big factor for what types of “lounge seating” to use in your theme…Try garden style wrought iron for an outdoor, spring Saturday or red, plush, velvet circles in the ballroom foyer for an ethnic, formal or romantic theme. What about WHITE leather chaise benches at the end of the rose garden for a more traditional all white wedding day? Serve your best cocktail for this kind of a greeting! CHEERS !

Tip - Loosen Up For Linens

You have decided your theme, location and colors. To make the magic happen within your décor allowance, consider upgrading your guest table linens, which will achieve a more finished, elegant, and detailed first impression for your reception guests.Whether renting beautiful satin, organza, velvets or chiffon table linens or choosing from the property host’s inventory of cloths, try to keep an open mind when it comes to matching the colors! Different fabric quality can make all the difference in how great it will look on top of the white/ ivory base linen you may be offered as part of the catering package. Plan to allow extra dollars for linen expenses… remember it’s your first dinner party as a married couple!

Trend - Donate To A Cause

Trinkets, Sweets or Treats? How to make an ol’fashioned tradition new and trendy! In lieu of the time, labor and a lot of times waste of wedding favors, make a cash donation to a special cause that is important to you as a couple. Making a donation to the SPCA or the fight for Cancer might be just the right thought to share with your guests. Place a few really pretty picture frames at each table telling your guest where your support makes a difference!Trend provided by Slip of Elegance Chaircovers

Tip - Have It Your Way

LESS is no longer More. It’s just a term used when you didn’t plan for all the details and the cost to achieve them. With today’s pressure to WOW your wedding guests with be bigger, better and more than your bff’s wedding, you have to afford the idea or forgo the idea. Doing it on the “CHEAP” side of choices will only add to the stress, pressure and in the end if its cheap, it will look that way too! So really determine your ideas and the over all appearance so that you can look back and say “I did it my way” and it “LOOKED FABULOUS” and know that it was. Don’t just compare prices- compare Service, Quality and Experience! It will pay off every penny spent.

Trend - Include Your FI

Your fiancé is all about helping with the plans for your special day and he should be. Here is an idea …just giving him a list of to-do things and hope he gets it done can be scary! Have trust in him because he can help with calling for appointments, confirming appointments, and following up on appointments. This task is really time consuming but a must. SO make him your “palm pilot” for the next 9 months! MEN love to be in charge of time.

Tip - Choose Full Service

Chaircovers will create a big transformation to any reception room décor! Many brides budget a large portion of their decoration allowance towards chaircovers because they have seen the changes in the appearance of the entire wedding reception area. Chaircovers are no longer relegated to the cake or head table anymore!

Renting Chaircovers is as varied as the businesses that provide the product. From style, quality, experience, and services provided, you will need to evaluate each when it comes to planning your most special day. Mail-order Chaircovers is one option. Besides the labor needed to setup, mail-order Chaircovers can arrive in poor quality (wrinkles) and short quantity, leaving you disappointed and stressed since your wedding is a day or two away. Put your trust in a full-service, professional Chaircover rental company. It’s the best way to go when planning a perfect day with all the details being as important to your wedding professionals as they are to you! Additionally, please make sure the company you choose knows your wedding reception chair style for that perfect fit and has a ready supply of chaircovers to add to your order if your final guest count changes at the last minute.

Trend - Showcase the Sweets

Remember the cake table! Layer in different levels, adding textures of fabric and more color all make for a grand presentation of your signature dessert. No longer just for the “cut the cake” photo but a presentation all it’s own. Rent extra plush fabrics to match the richness and bold color of your cake… Flowers between the cake layers, blown glass stands, beads and beautiful crystals all add the sparkle and shine your cake deserves!

Tip - Linens For Hire

INdoor verses OUTdoor linens? How long do you really need your table linen?

Ask yourself these simple questions to help determine what table linen will work best for you and your needs for each reception guest table. Indoor or outdoor has a lot to do with how much the cloth color will be in focus.
Theme and level of formality are all questions to ask too before you decide on color and length. For example, if you are having an evening outdoor event and want formal linens, make sure they come all the way to the ground.

Inside on Saturday afternoon? An elegant look can be just as pretty with sheer mid length overlays on top of the hotels provided cloths, enough to make it look like you provided your guests with the perfect table setting and details… not to mention hiding any unsightly spots.
