Tip - Cake Cutting Timeline

When scheduling your cake cutting, be sure to keep in mind the message that you're sending. Elders usually sneak out after the cake cutting, since this usually indicates the reception is ending soon. There's nothing that dictates when you should cut the cake, so if you want to get the traditional stuff out of the way early so you can mingle and dance, don't feel obligated to wait. Besides, the earlier you cut your cake, the fresher it will be.
