Ask your venue what the servers will wear if you are doing passed appetizers or food service. You may be able to get them to play into your wedding theme with accessories such as a top hat!

Dynamite Weddings Workshop!

Thanks to all the Dynamite Experts that participated in the Dynamite Weddings Workshop last Sunday! The brides have given the event great reviews so far, saying things like: "This workshop/class setup beats a regular bridal expo any day. Some couples are starting their beach vaca theme early, with a sea/ocean inspired wedding. If the water is your favorite place to visit together, where he proposed or just somewhere that you don't get to enough, why not bring it to the city for you and your guests? Discuss with your vendors the best way to incorporate these elements into your reception without it looking like a seafood restaurant chain. It can be fun, colorful, creative and still look chic.

Tip - Choose Bar Drinks and Ware Wisely

Choose bar drinks and glassware that complement your theme. If your theme is Winter Wonderland, consider Hot Toddy's and Spiced Cider served in mugs with a cinnamon stick garnish. If you plan to have a backyard country wedding, serve hard lemonade in Mason jars or consider chocolate martinis if your theme is focused around decadent sweets.

Trend - DIY Directions

A wedding trend that we've seen is handmade directional signs to your ceremony, reception site, etc. Gluing shells, rocks or stained glass found on the beach to spell out instructions could add to a beach themed wedding.

Handpainted signs also add character to the experience like this one from Laura and Brian Garrison's North Carolina wedding. The bride commissioned her sister to create signs like this one to direct guests to a backyard union.

Trend - Fall Sure Is Sweet

Looking for a dessert option to tie in with your fall theme? A flowing carmel or butterscotch fountain would be sweet fun! Instead of, or in addition to, a chocolate fountain, let it rain carmel or butterscotch. You can offer apple slices, marshmallows, strawberries, graham cracker sticks, brownie bites, etc. Everything tastes better with a little extra sugar!

Add a little extra touch to the restrooms at your wedding. People will enjoy these little elements that contribute to your personality infused in the wedding decor. You can have your DJ create personalized soundtracks to play the "Jones network" for your guests to hear while taking a potty break. Small floral arrangements in your wedding colors, fun decor, or bride/groom Q&A framed on the bathroom counter will definitely create conversation.
