Real Dynamite Wedding - Angela & Mike (part 2)

Happy Valentine's Day! Let's check back with the happy couple, Angela & Mike and enjoy the details of their incredible reception. Thanks again to Allegro Photography for sharing this amazing wedding.
June 14, 2008

The reception was flawless with hints of pink and brown displayed in the florals, favor boxes, and intricate details on the exquisitely designed cake by Fleur de Lisa. Guests were invited to enjoy a delicious menu put together by the Lodge at Sonoma, accompanied by well balanced wines all coming from the Sonoma region. Everything was breath taking and truly reflected Angela and Mike as a couple. Angela's advice for the big day, "Start early, keep a binder of information (vendor agreements and phone numbers, diagrams, etc), and keep things as simple as possible.

Angela & Mike Leach - An Intimate Affair
Angela & Mike work in the healthcare field never expecting to find their two hearts joining as one. During an exciting first date, hiking in Half Moon Bay and strolling on the beach, the two realized that they shared common interests. This would be the first of many exhilarating trips together. During a memorable trip to Paris years later, Mike proposed, at the Sacre Coeur Basilica, the highest point in Paris. Such a romantic proposal lent itself to the beginning of their beautiful story. Angela couldn't wait to spend her life with this thoughtful, caring, family-oriented, supportive man.

The Big Day
The two couldn't have picked a more perfect place to get married than The Lodge at Sonoma. Angela handled many of the wedding day details herself including invitations and programs. She also had the welcome assistance of her mother to help design and conquer the floral arrangements pieced together. Their beautiful outdoor ceremony was complimented with bouquets designed with hot pink and white roses, with green hydrangea. Outdoor decor included crepe-paper rose pomanders balls hung gently with satin ribbons. Pew flower designs included pink and white roses in clear glass vases hung by pink and brown ribbon. Guests were able to shelter from the sun kissed warmth with delicate parasols while they enjoyed the intimate ceremony.

*Check back tomorrow to read about this creative reception.

Congratulations Jenna!

For those of you that haven't seen the pics from Jenna Bush's wedding, I am going to cut you some slack and assume that you've been living under a rock with no form of technology or print available. ;)

On Sunday, May 10th, Jenna Bush married Henry Hager (a previous White House aide) in an intimate ceremony (as intimate as you can have being the President's daughter)of 200 guests on the Bush Ranch in Texas. Jenna's style was simply elegant, in her beautifully detailed Oscar de la Renta gown and natural, luscious locks simply pulled back. Beautiful.

Possible inspiration for creating your own venue in a backyard location? (I realize not everyone's backyard is a 1600 acre ranch, but it's still inspirational, no?!)

I Heart SATC

There is one celebrity wedding that I am SO excited about! I can't wait and I still have until May to go. You know the one I'm talking about. . .The Wedding of Carrie Bradshaw and Big.

This isn't just about the over-the-top style of Carrie Bradshaw. Or the love, then hate, then love, then hate, then oh-let's-just-give-in-to-love relationship. Or even the relationship between the girls. It's about all that and more. It's about the fact that I know that this wedding will have more drama and more fashion then any real wedding we will ever see. But unfortunately I have to wait until May for this big day. SIGH. I'm on pins and needles.

Sex and the City may be in syndication now, but you know those rerun experiences will stand the test of time. Can't wait for the movie? Check out the website, www.SexandtheCityMovie.com

Selfish

This is a selfish little post to wish two of my cousin’s congratulations!

Cousin D & his FI will be getting married in August! They will have been engaged over a year when they tie the knot. They are having a lovely black, white and red vintage wedding. Everything I have seen so far is so pretty; I know it’s going to be a beautiful day! Congratulations D & S!

Cousin N & her fiancé JUST got engaged and will be getting married in October. I don’t know her FI very well, but from the one time I met him and what I have heard he is a lovely man! And N has good taste so I’m sure it’s all true! Congratulations N & M!

Anyone else have weddings they are attending this year?
