I wanted to share with you a few of the details from my wedding. I can't take full credit for these though because my mom and my sister are the party planners extraordinaires! But the one thing I did discover in planning my wedding is that it is all in the details (and that's what will drive you to insanity!). The details are what no one thinks about but everyone remembers. It can be your way of letting those celebrating with you know just how happy you are that they are there. It will also make your day more memorable to those who attend.
So here are a few of my favorite details:

These are the gift bags we created to put in the hotel rooms of out-of-town guests. In the bag we included personalized water bottles, personalized candy bars, personalized lifesavers, tissue, photo albums, and personalized hot cocoa. We bought fall leaves from the
Dollar Tree (100 leaves in a bag for $1!), glued them on with
Elmer's Glue and viola! We then tied on some ribbon in the color of the bridesmaids dresses and we were done!

To mark our tables we took a picture of ourselves, put in in a frame (again from the
Dollar Tree!) and placed large, gold sticker numbers in the upper right hand corner. After the reception we gave away the 5X7 pictures to important family members (grandparents, aunts, etc.) and those who helped with the decorating. To the right of the picture you can see our favor, caramel apples. We attached a simple tag with some fall leaves and there you go!

Because we did most of our pictures before the wedding I knew that we were in for a very long day. So to help keep the bridesmaids happy and full of energy I created "lunchboxes" for each of them. SO simple and yet totally appreciated!
First, I purchased white, handled boxes from
The Container Store. While there I also purchased large circle stickers, one in burnt orange and one in chocolate brown. Later I purchased small letter stickers from
Michael's. A few days before the wedding I put together the boxes, put the stickers on, wrote each bridesmaids name on the orange sticker and filled the box with goodies! I tried to pick stuff that would be easy to eat, not super messy but hold us over. I included peanut butter or cheese crackers, a banana, a piece of chocolate, a water bottle, tissue and some mints. The girls loved it and it helped keep our stomachs from growling during the ceremony!Find a way to put your special mark in the details of your wedding. It will make you happy and people will love it!
