Blog stalking this weekend, I came across a book at Anderson Green Events blog, that made me wish I lived in NYC. We need a book like this in every city! For those brides that are using their wedding as a motivator to get healthy, be healthy and stay healthy, a handy guide like Clean Plates N.Y.C. should become your new sidekick! This could also be a great tool when selecting a restaurant for your rehearsal dinner, catering your wedding or hosting an event. If you know of a similar book, touting the healthiest tasting restaurants in your city, please share!

Tip - Delicate Diet
While we've addressed the importance of eating properly, resting, exercising and taking your vitamins we also want to point out the importance of making sure your diet is including the proper amount of nutrition. Choosing a diet that is based on limiting your food intake without taking proper nutrients into consideration can cause fatigue, crankiness and muscle loss. Be sure to discuss your best course of action with a doctor or personal trainer.

Tip - Avoid Vitamin Overload
If you're planning to start a new health regime prior to your wedding that includes taking new vitamins, don't start it the week of your wedding day. Start at least a month in advance or after your big day. Some people get nauseous starting new vitamins as your body adjusts to the influx of these additional nutrients. No one wants to feel sick on their wedding day, with the exception of a few expectant butterflies that will pass!Photo courtesy of Sharpe Photographers

Wedding Day Inspiration
A Dynamite Vendor, Lora Ward of A Day to Remember was able to participate in a very rewarding and inspirational wedding day story that we had to share with you all. Get some tissues!"Nearly five years ago, when Carrie Shellhammer was dying at UCSF Medical Center, she and her mother selected songs for her funeral, which they assumed was just weeks away.
On Saturday, those songs were played at her wedding instead."

Tip - Protect your skin
Protect your skin! For outdoor weddings, don't forget to apply sunscreen. You want your wedding night to be hot with passion…not a scorching sunburn! Also, consider providing sunscreen to your guests. You can glam it up by creating small packages with travel sized suncreen, a little fan and a bottle of water. The water bottles can be personalized with a picture of the bride and groom.

What the…? Where'd this Weight come from?
I am puzzled, truly puzzled. How is it that before the wedding I was so motivated to eat healthy and lose a little weight, and now the pounds seemed to magically appear? I just don’t get how this happens after you get married. I would feel really down about myself if I hadn’t heard from others that this sometimes happens; however it doesn’t make it much easier. Dang!
I’ve decided I’ve got to make a change. Maybe, just maybe, by posting this, I will hold myself more accountable. Please believe I am not going to post pictures of myself, but I will use this as motivation. So, gym, here I come. Dessert, we will have to meet less frequently, but I still love you! Is anyone with me?

Getting Older
Funny when you're single that, as a woman, you never think twice about going to a doctor. We go - do we like it? No, but we go nonetheless. Is it the same for men? NOPE! I never really thought much about it, but until you try to convince your husband to go the doctor, you'll discover that they'd rather eat lead than go the doctor for any reason. Any one have any advice on how to convince your hubby to get that check up???
