Tip - Take Notes

Family members and friends will have a lot of advice and suggestions as to how you can make sure your wedding day is a success. You will receive requested and also unsolicited advice. Take note of all the advice given, never making promises you may not follow through with. Save everyone's pieces of wisdom and use those that apply to you. Voice gratefulness to all those offering suggestions because they are trying to help.

Tip - Ask For Bridal References

Ask your potential vendors for bridal references. It might feel silly, but you really want to make sure that your day goes flawlessly. Although vendors have testimonials and portfolios of pleased clients, it doesn't necessarily mean the bride thought it was as perfect. For example, a professional make-up artist may have a portfolio full of beautifully done make-up, but it doesn't mean that this was exactly what the bride expected nor does it tell that they were on time and easy to work with. Follow up!

Trend - Nature Inspired Designs

According to Bride & Bloom magazine, "From seeds and flowers to leaves and even insects, nature is inspiring the world's top jewelry designers." We thought we would check out our favorite jewelry store, Etsy, for some designs following the inspiration trends. Nothing says unique like a nature inspired wedding day necklace for your outdoor celebration!

Tip - Misted With Love

Remember salad dressing misters? They were popular among many dieters to get away from overconsumption and now they're making a comeback. Salad dressing or seasoning misters could make a great conversation starter at the table as guests pass them around testing different bites with blue cheese vinaigrette or a tangy lime citrus blend. Expect guests to take these home and personalize them with a wedding day label.

Trend - Tasteful Tootsies

Breaking away from the antiquated tradition of your shoes matching your wedding dress perfectly, brides are breaking out with bold colors and glamorous jewels. Gone are the days of "died to match" and welcome hidden punches of color or bling!

Tip - Glimpse of Glam

Looking to incorporate bling without appearing overdone? Why not add touches of crystals to centerpieces, pearls or jewels to your bouquet or beaded linens. Subtle enhancements will add a big impact without shouting excess.

Trend - Multi-Tiered Desserts

If you can't decide on a cake flavor, create a dessert tree of many tiers with personal cakes with different flavors. Your guests could choose their personal favorite.

Tip - Cake Florals

When thinking about cake design options where florals are involved, consider if you want edible floral designs or fresh flowers adding the texture to your tender treat. When budget becomes a concern, talk to your baker and florist to establish if handmade sugar flowers may be pricier than the real thing.
